I've spent the last 30 years of my life in the same podunk suburb of this godforsaken place. What would you consider to be the most breath-taking scenery in America? Something that will really blow me away?

Your first time seeing NYC from a high vantage point is pretty impressive.
My favorite spot in nature is Glacier Point in Yosemite.

as a non american i recognise the usa as one of the most varied and beautiful countries in the world although americans really do try their best to fuck the place up
there is pretty much any kind of scenery you can imagine so just go and see what you like. the national parks would be a good place to start. i have only been to a couple but i know there are people who try to go them all and if i lived in the usa i would probably do that
you should probably do this soon because within a generation it is highly likely that some of them will be destroyed beyond recognition, ransacked in the perpetual hunt for resources. enjoy them while you can

The best in the US for natty beauty are, in no order, Yosemite, Canyonlands, Glacier and Tetons. Some parts of Alaska could compete, but only on days with nice weather, and Alaska’s too expensive to roll the dice on that.

Mogged by Canyonlands with its perfect red color and cool formations. Grand Canyon has the color of a quarry or those ugly gray vulvas. You know the ones.

Honestly upstate New York is super underrated. An entire region that everyone just forgets exists.
I like Watkins Glen State Park

It’s like some kind of wonderland, especially in fall. Mountains and lakes as far as the eye can see with few people.

Nigga, when I fill in a travel map, I fucking FILL IT IN. None of this frauding of filling in an entire country with light green when you've spent only three days walking around the downtown of its capital city.

it's amazing how cheap a week or two long roadtrip around the entire west can be. it's 3k or less depending on how much you want to glam it up or the decisions you make
the worst part is trying to get the time off

>Point Pleasant, WV
Dear lord. That's grim.

The most beautiful drive in the US that I've done is the back route through Tioga Pass into Yosemite valley. When you come through that tunnel and see Yosemite Valley for the first time, it's about as epic as you're going to see

Perhaps true, but manlets and other losers tend to stay indoors and not go outside. Go to the county fair and half the guys are gonna be 6' or taller.

Depends where you are. In certain rural portions they have majority scandi ancestry so the dudes are gonna be taller there. But there's more english, irish, etc. in the suburbs and cities so it resembles the rest of the country there

The hermit formation and part of the supai group are as red as it gets. It's gray/beige above and orange-ish below, similar to Zion and Sedona/Mogollon rim. When you hike in it at ground level you can appreciate how red it is.

I agree with this guy.

The people I've known that made it their mission to see most if not all the national parks have seen some beautiful stuff.

But it's up to you OP to make your short list and do it.

Same thing with the Midwest. However to be honest, the ones into natural stuff aren't bad, pretty friendly from my own experience.

They just want a better life for their family. I know that might seem crazy to some though.

I do find some Indians to be way too cocky and annoying but the family ones are ok.

As someone from that area, it's clear you're circling that just because you're from there. Anyone who visits that area will recognize it for the dump it is.
Anonymous No.2821211
>>2821206
I'm actually NOT from there, I circled it because I genuinely think it's scenic and underrated as a destination. I mean, for sure there's popular stuff within - Hocking Hills, Red River Gorge, New River Gorge, but there's also plenty of lesser gorges.
