>as a child growing up always dreamed of traveling across Europe
>now an adult with the means and time to travel
>everything I see on the internet about the place leads me to believe it's a shithole now
What places worth visiting in Europe aren't multicultural paradises? Like if I avoid the big cities and only went to historical sites would it be alright? Or are the videos I've seen of the streets of London/Paris looking like Islamic caliphates cherry-picked and not representative of most of the areas?

Of course they are. Stop letting memes control your worldview.

Has it ever occurred to you that you won't be welcome either?

My sister (Belgian, main language Dutch) spoke fluent Italian by the time she married her Italian husband. She went to live there and began applying for translation jobs, Italian to Dutch, at multinational companies in the area (Geox, Benetton,...). She got turned down endlessly "because of her accent" and eventually began translating for the EU.

Instead those multinationals hired Italian women who didn't speak a single word in Dutch. Not one. Single. Word. Here's how we found out: every single time she went for a job interview, she got contacted by the women who got the job. Asking her if she was interested in doing some translations for free. Because they couldn't get anything done. At all. AT ALL.

I've got a Belgian uncle living there since 1983. Fabulous cook, extremely popular restaurant (bands performing in Venice would take a 2h drive to his restaurant), now retired. Speaks fluent Italian, the local language (Ladin, which only very few people speak) as well as the dialect. Jolly guy, bit of a Santa Claus type, always ready with a piece of solid worldly wisdom. Very popular, except when he needs a favour from someone. Never got accepted. When he asked why, the answer was: should've learned the language. Can't make this up.

Both my sister and my uncle are far whiter than any Italian will ever be, by the way. Don't ever assume they'll like you more because they vote far right. They wont. And it isn't any better anywhere else in Europe, or the world. Cletus is gonna Cletus. Good luck.

Eastern Europe, they're starting to let the jeets in but there's not enough of them to be an issue yet

Europe's kinda lame desu. Not even about immigration. You can visit if you want, but it's not really different than the US/Canada once you're past the veneer. Honestly East Asia is so much better it's not even close.

No idea about Paris but London has dramatically less crime now than it did 20 years ago it's just publicised more now than it was back then.
It's less safe than Japan, yes. But you're not going to go to London and see nothing but black street gangs, Muslims and Indians.
I was there maybe last month, felt 100% safe and the city was predominantly Chinese tourists then white British.
You DO see places in London with knife crime and black gangs but it's like saying
>I'm worried about visiting Toronto becuase I've read they have wild bears/moose roaming about.
Those people don't leave their areas and likewise you're unlikely to go there.
Europe isn't homogonous, where I live in UK everyone is white and gay and I feel perfectly safe cycling about at 2am and this is a dense city.

European baked goods mog anything baked in Japan. Northern Europe has a much more pleasant summer climate than East Asia...it's much better for a physically active travel lifestyle. The girls are much prettier in Europe too. You can go almost anywhere in Europe with no visas and minimal bureaucratic hassle - can't do that in Siberia or China. Japan and South Korea are insignificant, isolated fragments of a region that do not accurately represent East Asia as a whole.

Anon, you can still travel to places where nobody likes you...expect to feel lonely and unwanted, of course. European xenophobia is surprisingly non-discriminatory. Doesn't matter if you're Amerimutt, pajeet, African. A foreigner is a foreigner is a foreigner.

That's what makes it interesting. Visiting Europe helps you see how European ideas shaped North American civilization. Seeing white people in their native habitat is also interesting. They behave differently from the rootless white mutt migrants found in the colonized world. Also, European food is the best quality food you'll find anywhere on Earth.

the center and tourist areas of both are pretty safe
london has phone thefts and watch theft and paris pick pockets

aside from that they are pretty safe
its when you go to certain areas that you have to be careful, but these days they are more in outer london and I doubt you would visit where people actually live
even the bad inner areas are not so bad anymore
the knife and gun crime was way higher in the late 2000s and early 2010s
there has been less crime since the olympics

black and asian areas are not really high crime either, the worst parts are the bits that are isolated that you probably have not heard of

the main parts you would be going to would safe, enjoy it anon don't live in fear

kind of a stupid question. yes you will see filthy brown people and niggers but that doesn't negate the value of the historical sight or architecture
you will still be awed by St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna, or Neuschswanstein castle.

and anyways given you are an American you're no stranger to foreign races so I don't see the issue
