Glad I wasn't about to land very soon here. The body of water is the Gulf of Aqaba; the territory of the Zionist entity begins at its head.

This was like 13 years ago, I was flying back to the US from Germany, we were over what must have been Northeast Canada and I looked down and saw what looked like several dozen if not nearly 100 small to mid sized lakes, and some of the bigger lakes had big rocks jagging out of their middles ranging in color from reddish brown to dark khaki. Looked beautiful and otherworldly.

Never been able to find any information about this place which makes me wonder if I didn't just imagine the whole thing.

Seeing Baffin Island during a clear summer day was pretty spectacular. The majority of the island was bare tundra, but there were still many sizable snowdrifts.

Every time I fly it feels like something that shouldn't be possible. I shouldn't be 38 fucking thousand feet high in the air, calmly cruising across vast swaths of impossible terrain. Landing always feels like waking up from a dream.

It is insane to me how normalized flying has become.

Flying from Almaty to Dushanbe in the early '90s I was one of 2 or 3 passengers in an old An-42 or something.
It was mid-day, winter, and I was trying not to think about the plane's maintenance history.
The view was spectacular, snow capped mountains as far as I could see.
I moved to the the other side and looked out. Snow capped mountains as far as I could see.

I feel like it never should have
Only the elite should be allowed and plebs must stay in their hometowns

There would be no elites if the plebs were content to live in their old family abode and weren't hurrying back and forth all over the country in service of giant corporations.
