Yes
First of all, deserts are cool, and there are lots of national parks surrounding the area you can go to and explore.
But even within the city, it's a unique experience with lots of breathtaking visuals, neat tourist attractions, and world class shows you won't find elsewhere. Also the restaurants are good.

Hopefully with less tourists going, the free market will lower the prices

Vegas does fucking suck, and I don't get the appeal, but it's far from dead. It's still very appealing to low-IQs and blacks. I'd say literally 80% of people there were brown or black. It's going to be catered to them now.

You see...Vegas was built to be what it is by the mob to launder money. That's why it used to be good. The mob could do their thing, make some money, and people could have a good time getting cheap hotels, food, booze, and other entertainment. Then, the mob died off, and Vegas was taken over for the MBAs. That's what makes Vegas suck now. That's why you get shit hotels with $50 of "resort" fees, paid parking, $25 for a shitty cocktail, etc.

Vegas also was made to appeal to boomers, who are either dead or too old to enjoy it.

The organized crime element never went away, what happened is that these organizations became more corporatized, as they happen to invite more business school grads to manage and optimize operations. And as with any industry that sees an influx of suite who don't give a fuck about anything other than maximizing profit, there's a decline in the quality of products and services as corners frequently get cut and everything gets nickled and dimed. Vegas is still a major money laundering center for organized crime, the CIA, and Mossad, and will be for the foreseeable future. But as the American economy has transformed into an "oliconomie", that is an economy almost exclusively for the wealthy, the average consumer has become economically irrelevant and Vegas is following the trend of catering only well to do and wealthy clients.

Marketing 101 is that young people trends don't last, whereas older people are more stuck in their ways.

Vegas was unbeatable for gambling and strip clubs, but there are plenty of locations that have great music scenes.

Last time I was at the Wynn I asked security by the elevators why they're just turning a blind eye to 8+ people clearly sharing a room (they'll pay $750 for bottle service, but not $200 for another room) and they said management told them it's more profitable this way and to use discretion. Which is a shame, because when it opened the Wynn was a class act.

The reason Vegas is falling apart is simple:
Online Gambling like sports betting, gacha games, and mobile apps bring in 10x the money as a casino for a fraction of the operational costs. Why bother have a multi-million dollar a year staff budget, hotel, and deal with all that when you can create an app or promote some betting for probably under a million in a marketing campaign and get way better margins. It doesn't make sense.

Vegas is going to turn more and more into a husk because the water drying up(literally) and the Asian market has all but turned it's nose up at Vegas.

My guess is by 2030(2035 at the latest) Vegas is just going to be a bunch of shell companies and hotels to launder the money in a good fashion and rake in the OpEx from the literal thirdworlders plaguing the strip these days. The new airport is constantly fucking stalled, the housing market there is collapsing, Nevada has no initiative to look for natural resources like silver, gold, or other mines because "muh natives..." and how it gets federal funding to blow shit up in the desert.

My guess is Reno is going to be the new Vegas as it's already invested tons to reinvent itself. Vegas will turn into the hilariously failed sister city of Laughlin/Needles.

Very weird, i was in vegas recently (week leading to Columbus day holiday) at the flamingo and it was all boomers in hawaiian shirts, no blacks or browns, some chinese here and there, but mostly white boomers, very florida feel
