How is in comparison to rest of East Africa's coast (Zanzibar, Mombasa etc)? Anything to worry about in particular?
Feral beach boys? Malaria mosquitoes? Somalian terrorists? Civil unrest? Anything?

it is not comparable to zanzibar or mombasa
if you want 'laid back east african beach resort vibes', then try diani beach south of mombasa, which is well removed from the somalian border and secure by comparison

In what sense? It's more dirty? Locals are more scammy or unpleasent?
