>>211346312Okay, it’s a mouthful, but I’ll hit the key points - though some incidents and players I’m not as comprehensively well read on.
So after Dean Corll got shot by one of his minions and those minions busted in Houston, one of his minions told police that Corll had claimed to be a part of a widespread network. There was no proof of this, so it was brushed off. Meanwhile, over in Dallas, John Norman has his place raided by the cops under the belief Norman is running a kiddy porn ring. Among the many notable things found within Norman’s illicit materials was a series of images; pornographic images of some of the boys that Dean Corll had killed back in Houston. What is one of the nations biggest child porn distributirs doing with porn of a serial killers victims? Unless of course what Corll’s minion told police was true; Corll was part of an organization.
So Norman goes to jail, but Norman had an apprentice named Phillip Paske. Paske moves up north where he ends up working for John Wayne Gacy. Gacy notably had the same methodology as Corll, which isn’t odd in itself - but what are the odds that two serial killers who preyed on boys and young men had direct ties to infamous child pornographers? Then there’s also the bits of evidence that Gacy’s killings weren’t conducted alone, which further implicates Gacy as having been involved with an organization of sorts.
North Fox Island was a local that, during its time of operation, was the largest production local for child pornography in America. Children were flown in to the island under the guise of it being a summer camp style place. The organization behind it can be tied to efforts involving Norman, as well as being related to Troop 137.
There’s a lot more than can be said in greater detail but I’d recommend reading Eye of the Chickenhawk. I was already well read on the topics discussed there, so I can vouch for its accuracy and thorough detail.
