Been awhile since I've seen this movie. How's the Foot Clan work? Pick up scummy kids off the street with no future, train them in martial arts and then use them for Shredder's crime syndicate?

They were once normal, but now they're mutants.
Splinter's the teacher so they are the students.
Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Donatello,
Make up the team with one other fellow
Raphael. He's the leader of the group
Transformed from the norm by the nuclear goop.
Pizza's the food that's sure to please,
These ninjas are into pepperoni and cheese.

Word of advice before you get there' you ain't ever going to fuck the lead of that movie, kid. You got a better chance of sucking off the kid you played Phreak.

Nah, not with that defeatist attitude. The cosmic truth is any girl can be yours to fall in love if you try. Even 90s Angie. Who dares, wins.

It's the greatest comic book movie of all time. It has tons of scenes that are genuinely moving. I love the arc between Leonardo and Raphael, too, their relationship is basically the core of the film. They did it with fucking puppets but you still feel the journey of love between the brothers.
Thinking about it there is a bit of sense in the Foot Clan being mostly teenage castaways and fuckups who only get taught martial arts once they join the group as an older age. They're pure mooks and the Turtles mow through them like tissue paper, and I guess the explanation for that is that they're not REAL ninjas, not REAL masters of ninjutsu. Whereas the Turtles are all actual masters, or at least high-level practitioners.

I agree completely anon but you should look in to how much work the "puppets" were.
Absolutely astonishing and never could be done today with Hollywood types bitching about work conditions

His helmet has always looked like an upside down spray painted wicker waste basket to me since the first time I saw the movie in the early 90s.

Do you rember suburban commando and the other step family trailers? I don't remember what was on batman 1 and 2 even though I watched them hundreds of times.
>>211371198
Yeah I think my TMNT had Suburban Commando and Big Girls Don't Cry... They Get Even trailers, but it probably had a different title on that trailer, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101444/

There are unfortunately so many deleted and extended scenes from this movie. This scene in particular, Shredder beats up the 4 guys who mug April at the beginning. Supposedly The Foot bails them out of jail then Shredder does this to them set an example:
>>211365819 >New York was better in the 80s when you would come home to find your bolt lock cut off with an arch welder and your tv, vcr, and everything else gone.
Fuck off retard.
A bunch of ethnics committing violent crimes and larceny doesnβt give a city βflavorβ. Donβt forget your car stripped

I've always found it really nice and artful that Shredder's aesthetic is that of a samurai at the end of the day. The Turtles are ninjas, and the ninjas were bandits and assassins in feudal Japan: criminals, basically, over and against the samurai, who as the knightly class were feudal lords and represented law and order.
They're iconographically at odds with each other, Shredder and the Turtles, in a way that reaches back into actual Japanese history. It's very cool.
I get it guys; I totally do.
I understand how she was literally millions of boys sexual awakening.
And then Judith comes along and she knocks it out of the park by making her believable in such an obscenely crazy universe. She grounded that movie solidly.
i showed this movie to an older friend of mine after we talked about how shit super hero movies are and he loved it. it really is a perfect movie for turtles. easily a 10/10
>>211365630 >Who dares, wins.
this is true. if you arent playing the game because youre afraid to lose (which is very very likely) you wont win either. the odds may be against you, because the bank always wins, but sometimes, sometimes we get our pandora moment and all the suffering was worth it. moreso even, due to the sufferings endured, heightening the sweet sweet victory. god, hackers jolie is so fucking banging, it's unreal. the see-through top makes me horny like a satyr in the nymph woods

Jim Henson was a fucking wizard, they look so good compared to the CGI trash that was peddled in the 2010s movies. Good practical effects age like wine, well worth the effort.

Wasnβt she sketching an old comic panel? Thatβs retro fan service done right. I was a little kid in 1990 not that into comic books. I can imagine the 1980s comic book nerds with turtle power autism werenβt too excited about their serious grim dark comic getting cleaned up and mass marketed to children. But what the fuck were they going to do? The internet was just emerging from the primordial ooze itself.

Quite right. And so naturally beautiful. The last live action films they turned April into a bog-standard bimbo. That wasn't April. It wasn't TMNT either. I don't know what the fuck I was watching. Another Transformers sequel pretty much. Garbage. All copies should be destroyed.
