Ult FF isn't really worth it. It shares the same 2000's edgyness as the rest of that line but it's mostly forgettable. Honestly, it's biggest value is to see it in retrospective to catch the seeds that lead into Reed becoming the Maker, and even then it wasn't intentional.

If you're into pulp sci-fi or something with a generally wholesome tone you might enjoy it. Keep in mind, FF has never relied on the "cool" factor that's present in characters like Punisher or Wolverine, since it's not part of their core.

I don't read much Marvel or DC, I read mostly manga. So I don't know about Reed becoming the Maker. I tried getting into DC and Marvel, but keep buying manga and am also planning on buying indie comic books I read on comic book pirate sites instead of Marvel and DC.

I did grab a copy of Ultimate X-Men while in the Philippines, one of the volumes that collected a bunch of the comics and I thought it was okay.

Was just asking about the Ultimate Fantastic 4 because I think that's the version where the Invisible Woman becomes the leader of the group.

Short ordeal is that Reed snaps after a series of traumatic events, going full psycho and becoming the main villain of the Ultimate universe; he's basically what would happen if Reed abandoned his family and ethics gave himself to sheer logic . The character proved to be really popular and is alongside Miles the only element from OG Ultimate to be adopted into the main universe and the larger Marvel brand.
Given how Fant4stic was mostly based on Ult FF, it's a popular casting to have Miles Teller play The Maker if the character ever shows up in film.

This is the dumb/weird shit to me. Or they don't think about the overall presentation of the character.

They don't make her bald, they don't stylize her hair. They go through the trouble of showing every little iteration of all these strands, Super detailed face, they seem to make her lips a different color than the rest of her. She has individual toes, you can make out toenail indications.
Super detailed human figure all around...generalized mounds for tits. No details no fold or crease, no indication of nipples. Just big bumps on her chest.

In general, Norrin Radd by comparison is a silver golem. Even and still in the movie doesn't have toes at all, lips the same metalic color as the rest of his body, no hair, no indication of metal stubble. All in all just a more consistent design.
