What is a great film that I, as a movie buff, am probably overlooking? I like films from every genre, era, and country.

You also have the benefit of watching it in HD nowadays, rather than bootleg VHS/early DVD, which only adds to how awesome the movie is.

I saw it and I like the American remake better. Don't get me wrong - Wages is a fantastic movie. Sorcerer is that one in the million chance where there is a remake better than original, despite the original being a classic already. I remember the studio cinema even doing once a marathon: Wages, Sorcerer and the HORRIBLE fucking modern remake, in a row. Most people left during the modern one.

That image really gets me thinking.
If you were in a situation where you absolutely were to die no matter what, would suicide be a better choice than getting killed? I guess there's a degree of free choice when it comes to suicide, even if it were to be a forced decision, would it be better to off yourself in a situation like that so that nobody has the pleasure of actually killing you? I guess I'd say that suicide would have been better, and then afterwards the guy could shoot your lifeless body but then it would be too late, take away the ability for the guy to kill you and you're dead by own choice, that'd be a huge middle finger to the guy who's going to kill you. Honestly I think I'd choose that over getting killed. And that's not even mentioning the fact that the guy could shoot wrong or whatever and you'd remain alive and you'd need to get shot multiple times before you die, whereas suicide would be a guaranteed death on the first shot to the temple. I'd choose suicide, if I have to be completely honest, either one sucks and I wouldn't really want either, but if I absolutely had to choose, I would go with the suicide. But that's just my opinion.

If you pulled a gun and aimed it at your own head and the did all that without the guy behind you shooting, then you could probably kill the guy behind you. Not only is he not shooting at the slightest movement EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE A GUN, but now he's confused. I say a swift move and you can hold his gun away from you with one hand and shoot him with your gun. This is possible and worst case still worth an attempt. Always go for it. That's how you become a legend. Death is not to be feared.

You're totally missing the point, over here, frogbro. In the proposed scenario I presented, you'd be killed no matter what, and whatever else beyond that is just speculation. I'm saying that IF you absolutely had to die, which one would be the better choice? The part about killing the guy behind you with the same bullet that penetrates your temple, is definitely a viable thing, yes, I will admit, but even then, it's purely speculative. And that's not even mentioning the fact that most pistols are 9mm, they would not penetrate your temple and have an exit wound on the other side of your head with that size caliber. But if we were to actually examine the theoretical proposition, here, we'd have to take into consideration that the image I was referring to earlier, was the example. And if that were to be the case, then the guy is holding a revolver, which usually are of a higher caliber. With that being taken into consideration, if we were to use the OP image as the true example of this situation, which I was alluding to in my first post, definitely, the bullet would be able to penetrate your dome and come out on the other end. But for practical purposes, let's just say that you were to be subject to a limited access of aresenal, if you were to take that into consideration, one of the most widely available pistols are 9mm ones, and those pistols would definitely not have the power required to fully penetrate one's head. Anywho, that is beyond the point, the theoretical scenario I brought forward was whether suicide would be preferrable to getting killed, and either of those cases do not take into consideration such a bombastic possibility of actually managing to kill the person who were to theoretically kill you with the same bullet you were to use to kill yourself.

But i didn't have breakfast this morning. Listen, pal. If it were me in Farrell's position in the OP pic i'm surviving and it wouldn't even be hard. Guy with gun to my head doesn't have what it takes to put me down, clearly. He's already let too much slide. I've got more grit. I turn around, and right now you're thinking "you turn around you die", nope, I turn around, parry his gun, and shoot him with mine and no i'm not shooting through my head that' isn't necessary.
If I HAD to choose between suicide or getting killed? And getting killed doesn't imply I tried fighting back? Sure, suicide.

Shadow of the Vampire. It's Nosferatu with Willem Dafoe as the vampire, except he doesn't simply play the vampire: he plays the original actor playing the vampire, who is actually a real vampire pretending to be an actor playing a vampire.
