It barely deserves one thumb up. I almost gave it a down but I couldn't since it isn't horrible. It wasn't original. The only thing unpredictable was the sudden appearance of the FL's ex and just as sudden disappearance. My favorite character was the older female chef in training. She was fun to watch. The ML and the local boy shouted constantly and it drives me mad. The frog unfortunately didn't bring it. She was just there and then over there and with this person and that one but she acted the same way with all of them. She was a cardboard cutout. She would ignore everything around her, act put upon, complain a little, walk to a counter and chop veggies.

Okay, so I finished Weightlifting Fairy, unnies. Not sure whether I REALLY liked it.

It's lighthearted, colourful, fluffy, all that. It initially drew me in. But the plot isnt written in a very engaging way. Most of the time is spent with the female lead simping for another male, even though this "relationship" obviously won't go anywhere. Then, the show continues to meander for a few additional episodes even after the main plot points have been resolved. Side characters remain underdeveloped. There are some moments that touch your heartstrings, but it's mostly just eh. I dont hate it. Im not sure whether I liked it. It's just a very average K-Drama aimed at younger audiences.
