The UK was adamant on fighting Hitler, they didn't give two shits about the USSR never gave a fuck about Poland after the war even though that was their whole casus belli pretty much. The UK then did everything to drag the US into the war.

Germany's main problem is lack of resources, so many vital resources were just not abundant in the Reich as it was in the Soviet Union and US.

So it was just a matter of numbers and resources.

Germany had a very small window to win and the gamble was just too big in the end.
