Terrorvision is worth watching for how hot Mary Woronov is in her workout gear and Gerrit Graham. But once they exit thee picture, which is fairly early, it becomes completely worthless. And Cemetery Man is just godawful. Was going to include Eaten Alive but it at least looks good and has some few memorable moments and characters, that's a movie you could reasonably call "fun" despite not being great.

Finished Friday the 13th part 4: The Final Chapter.

It's sad that this is the final chapter in the Friday the 13th series, but all things have to end. I really respect the studio for having the integrity to put their foot down and say "no, we aren't going to milk this for the next 40+ years, this is the FINAL chapter. This is the end." It takes a lot of backbone to make a decision like that, but you know, it's what's best for the series and it's great that they recognized that. Some people are just in it for the money, but clearly not these guys. Imagine how embarrassing it would be to continue the series for 10, 12 movies, and never call it quits, just selling the license to any old putz to make a sequel or a reboot or a spin-off. That's what sets Friday the 13th apart, though. They knew they had a hit and they just wanted to see it through to completion, which they did. 4 movies. A quadrilogy. Four. A fine number, four. Any more than that, as the studio realized, would simply be foolish.
"Four." I love the sound of it. You know, the Spanish say "quatro," but that doesn't have the same ring.
Part FOUR. Now that's a hell of a finish. A great finish to a great series. The last of the Jason saga. Never again to be revisited. Bittersweet.

I hear you. It's remarkable in its own way that people can have such wildly different experiences and ideas of what both horror and comedy is, but I do think some people are just very narrow minded in what they think horror is compared to comedy or when the two mix and it might be 'more comedy than horror' or whatever. I used to be like that myself too so it's not like I don't understand some of the confusion which wasn't helped by some people's desire to label a horror movie they happened to like or that was highly regarded as anything other than horror which they normally hate and consider to be nothing but exploitative B-movies which is very sad to me.

But that's what I love about this genre now, that it actually has so many different takes and so much variety because what we find horrifying is going to be different from person to person just like our brand of humor might differ from one another. I guess that's why horror and comedy go together so well.

I dont hate Jordan Peele, but its more that people began to hype him up as a new "master of horror" just because Get Out premiered and was relevant to 2017's America and because it was a competently made film.
