That one lady convinced a fuckton of "experts" and historians. Ironically I think she died before the completion of the film, so people already knew they were seeing a complete work fiction.
Is Don Bluth just cursed when it comes to his movies making money? I love all of his work but he never got the big break out that an animator like him deserves. Making he still makes money from Land Before Time

Boohoo the tragedy of some defective inbreds who made their living by starving the children of the entire country to death getting their just desserts. The Tsar was scum and I'm glad he's dead. In fact he deserved a worse death.

I agree with Rand on a lot of shit, but how does one seriously justify the murder of children because 'they got a better education than most people did at the time'? Does this guy just bend over for black dick when he walks down the street?

some scenes looked nice but it is one of the worst scripts in the history of cinema the whole movie fucking blows despite the interesting setting
>>211436723 >Unironically why did they do it?
I would imagine it was to eliminate a politically feasible/seemingly legitimate political rival to the bolsheviks
communism sucked ass, some may have cried for a return of the tsar
or at least, the bolsheviks may have feared this possibility

Don bluth won in the end. He took on prime Disney and his animation school will outlast the cal arts evil slop Disney eventually became. Heβs one of my heroes.

One noble human is worth a hundred million peasant scum. We know this in our very genes, but refuse to accept it. Just look at how pretty and touched by grace Anastasia is, it's obvious that her life alone justifies the entire Russian Empire.

easily, my dude. That kid would hold a claim on the throne. Then there is this entire concept of jews gutting the old system, well, thats just plain psychopathy

Bro, what they did to the Royal Family was admittedly pretty bad, but even THAT was hardly even starting to scratch the surface of the very tip of that iceberg of "bad things the commies did in the 20th century".
>a bunch of historical-figures from the 1920's make a cameo appearance at Coney Island >one of them is Dr. Sigmund Freud >not looking where he's going while walking due to having his attention absorbed by a book, he slips and falls on a banana-peel
Kino example of less-overt comedic writing.
It's the inclusion of stuff like this that makes the difference between a "kids movie" and "a movie that can be enjoyed by all age-groups, adults just as much as kids". And that kind of standard of quality and effort was outright expected from Writers in previous decades. We need to go back to it instead of just letting our children be entertained by lazy, unmemorable slop.

It's like 2 replacing a 5 because the 5 isn't as good as a 10.
End result = Instead of 5/10 you get 2/10 instead.
That's what communist revolution is. It just replaces one shitty situation for an even worse shittier situation. Every. Single. Time.
