Just saw Flight (2012). Wow. I have drank vodka before but this guy took it to another level.

the scene where he drinks everything in his house, falls over and sleeps on the floor isnt realistic

For me, it's room temperature vodka. A lot of anons will claim sticking it in the freezer makes it better. But I find this makes it viscous and lingering on the way down. Plus it's really cold so you get brain freeze from chugging.

>I choose to drink! And I blame myself! I am happy to! And you know why? Because I choose to drink! I got an ex-wife and a son I never talk to! And you know why? Because I choose to drink!
Young anons don't understand how brutal this line is.
And you know what? I hope they never do.

Checked, but incorrect
I'm slowly drinking myself to death like my father probably did (he might still be around, I don't know or care) and his father did before him and his father did before him.
The only redeeming thing I can say about myself is I'm not perpetuating the cycle. So at least I'm better than any of them were.

If it's cold, your blood vessels contract heavily; if it's at room temperature, then they dilate, which is better in every single way.

Alcoholism has some genetic elements to it, but your origin story can be broken; having the genetic makeup to make you an alcoholic doesn't mean you cannot get free and enjoy it.

Alcoholism is only bad if it ruins your life though. If someone is successful then their alcoholism is just seen as eccentric drinking. If someone's life is shit, then they're an alcoholic. So it's not actually a disease or whatever your modern therapy culture claims.

Well, any amount of alcohol will cause neuron death, and any amount of alcohol damages the heart; isn't this the definition of a life ruined? You essentially die with the neurons you've been born with, give or take, having a gap period in your life where you didn't even enjoy yourself, were a prisoner to a chemical, made everyone around hate you, and aged your brain by decades, ain't no smart thing to do.

The safest amount of alcohol is none at all.

Obviously not. You lose neurons and get cardiac stress from living a single day in a city.
>a gap period in your life where you didn't even enjoy yourself, were a prisoner to a chemical, made everyone around hate you, and aged your brain by decades
This sounds like a specific scenario that happened to you. My net worth is nearly 7M and I've been getting drunk every single night for going on 15 years.

>Acute and short-term RW [red wine] consumption seems to exert positive effects on antioxidant status, the lipid profile, thrombosis and inflammation markers, and the gut microbiota. Importantly, a longer duration of treatment with RW has been shown to protect renal and cardiac function parameters in T2DM patients, suggesting that a moderate intake of RW may serve as a dietary supplement in diabetic patients.
regardless, I'll play it safe myself and not going to pilot planes while druk.

Leaving las Vegas is my favourite movie.

Last night I drank the vodka, talked to freaks on Kik and locked my cock in chastity cause a dominant woman told me too. Showed it to strangers when they asked, including men despite being straight, and now it's covered in bruises. Lot of fun though.
