Another benefit this season is that ACTUAL CONFLICTS AND ARCS are already emerging without being forced by wiggers, and then falling flat from "production told me to do it" moments. Daniel fucked with that girl's pictures and it caused a big stink; Freddy came in extremely extraverted and talkative and has since become very reserved and is clearly overwhelmed and just looks afraid all the time
In S2, some fish were insufferable to the audience but they didn't bother eachother (Think of that one night when they realised they were all fishtank fans and started yelling WHERES THE ICE CREAM IN THIS JOINT?), they had a lot of fun while the audience were annoyed.
This time around, the insufferable fish are annoying the audience, AND the other fish, so the dynamic of "annoying fishtank fans" actually works instead of immediately turning into S2 friendtank
