Unironically not unusual. In the very first trailer for Avatar they show a clip from that scene where Jake gets off the ship and almost stepped on by the walker. When the guy turns around to say, 'Watch where you're going, hotshot!' the walker's gun is clipping right through its arm. It's not even a slight mistake, it's like G-Mod levels of clipping.

The cape is extremely difficult. If you look at the Reeve movies, there is almost no movement from the cape, it just lays on him. In Superman Returns and MOS they had to use puppeteers in blue suits to animate the cape during the flying scenes and CGI the cape in the action scenes to show it flapping around

Look, I hated the Snyderverse, call me a pajeet all you want but there was a lot of wrong in Man of Steel already and the moment Supes killed Zod it was over for me. But the CGI was never this bad (and it was already kinda wonky). Just fyi Zod's armor and both Supes and Bats capes were all 100% CGI except for a few shots of them standing. Gunn has no excuses in 2025 with a nearly 400 million budget. Also
