Superman on its own is just fine. I’m sure it will be a fun movie. The problem is it represents everything DC will become, the modern mcu. The age of kino is over. No more serious movies or anything that legitimately resembles DC’s atmosphere. Everything is now committee driven (with fucking Tom King at the helm) under Gunn’s self ironic style. Games and animation are basically non existent. You’re not going to get anything like JL Unlimited or Young Justice ever again. Even MAWS is getting hamstrung by those upcoming DCU shows that will inevitably be forgotten. What’s crazy is MoS2 could’ve easily existed but Gunn doesn’t want it to overshadow his own stuff. He’s doing the same thing with The Batman 2. It’s disgusting and easy to evident now why Affleck said he’d never work under Gunn.

CGI looks like shit in almost every major movie that comes out.
The thing is people excuse it for being “impressive” because it’s still hard to do, supposedly. But it has to look perfect, otherwise it poisons the whole movie. I don’t know how people can stand looking at that shit for hours.

I thought the Snyder Cut was okay compared to the regular movie, but I thought his whole take was wrong from the beginning. I remember seeing the first trailer for Man of Steel and seeing Nolan's name as producer and thinking "Oh no.
