I found it difficult to understand a lot of the dialogue in this movie. It's very heavy negrified and I say that as an enjoyer of Spike Lee movies.

I was meme'd into Get Out, i'm not watching any more Peele movies.

I saw “Us” in theatres with a girl I was dating (it was her idea) and the movie sucked and dragged on for so fucking long I couldn’t wait to get out of that theatre. Obviously people only liked it because hurrr all black actors. Nothing about it was kino.

Get Out was fine, Us had a great first half and was so bad the second half I ended up hating the whole movie, and Nope was 8.5/10 his best film so far.

Nope was fine for the firs half, then I totally lost interest but the mystery is fun and it is not that politically charged.

Us I will watch this October but I know it is nonsense and kinda crap.

Get out I despise with all my heart. I actually hate that movie. It i stupid and people just like it because white left wingers thought being the butt of the joke made the movie elevated cinema.

I love both halves. It gets a little silly with the TMZ guy and the always embarrassing Akira bike slide, but Jean Jacket is just such a cool fucking design, and I like OJ's silent protagonist vibes.

For films, Close Encounters is the only truly good one. Sadly everything else isn't worth the time. The only thing close is the miniseries Taken from 2002.

There are many films on this topic which have one or two good scenes where the rest of the movie is junk. Whether or not that's worth it is up to you. Fire in the Sky has the best scene by far, but the rest of the film is a snooze.

The Fourth Kind has several cool scenes yet never shows the aliens or any craft, and for most viewers looking for an alien/ufo movie that makes it a letdown and an automatic failure. However if you watch it as an occult / paranormal film instead, it is kino.

The recent films Vast of Night and No One Will Save You get shilled on here a lot, but that's pure copium. They're ok films but bad ufo/alien films.

Nigga a bunch of normal people attempting to kill a 1000 foot tall invisible interdimensional vore alien with only their animal-taming expertise is a hype and a fresh idea in the scene. Not all of this pussying out, accepting your fate in the face of the impossible adversary and letting the monster chase you around like with thousands of other horror movies. If you're afraid of new things then maybe regular Blumhouse slop is more your speed

Color is a great paranormal horror film. I don't think it's successful as an alien/ufo film, nor is it trying to be one. While the entity does fall from the sky, it seems to be neither biological nor technological but closer to an grand malevolent spirit like a demon or deity, and the film's events play out as a haunting. Just as the point of Dagon is "isn't the unknown of the ocean super spooky?" the point of Color is the same except for outer space. Like the film versions of Solaris, the story is meant to be interpreted as either metaphorical, hallucinated, or as contact with a spirit, not as a physically real alien encounter with a very different form of life than our own. The point of an alien/ufo film is to engage with the latter.
