Your movie is nothing more than a copy-cat (ha!) of the '89 one. And not even a good one

I've said it for many years.

My phone has 5 movies always on it to watch and Batman Begins is one of them. It's the only Nolan film on that list.

Ras Al Ghul just doesn't cut it, scarecrow and Cillian in general is very good but between Ras mediocrity and the really long intro/origin for batman it just doesn't beat out TDK

In Batman Returns, Batman tries to save Selina, but she still sacrifices herself. He doesn't know if she's alive or not, but he still carries on because he is Batman and his mission is above everything.
In Nolan Batman, Rachel dies and he stops trying.
Jee, I wonder which is the better Batman...

It's definitely the best out of the Nolan trilogy. It's got really good practical effects, good acting (you can tell the cast and crew had hunger to make not only a good Batman movie, but a really good movie in general), good music, and a really good narrative structure that builds to its climax and pays off very well, squeezed in a 2 hour flick.
But it's not the best Batman movie, that goes to Tim Burton's Batman 1989. That movie is timeless.

>Bruce Wayne: Alfred, am I pig headed? Is it always my way or the highway?
>Alfred: Yes, actually. Death and chance, stole your parents. But rather than become a victim, you have done everything in your power to control the fates. For what is Batman? If not an effort to master the chaos that sweeps our world. An attempt to control death, itself.
>Bruce Wayne: [pause] But I can't, can I?

BB hit the perfect balance of serious and fun. The sequels went overboard on the grimdark tone and hyper-realism, which ironically made them seem even sillier at times.

It's always weird when people say Nolan films are grimdark. It's like they never watch films beyond cheesy blockbusters. These films are sincere and serious but rarely dark.

Facts. These films are filled with hope and the belief in the goodness of people as their core message. Both Bane and Joker lose because people of Gotham are better and more resilient than they thought.

TDK was very much grimdark and it's useless to deny. Rises tried to scale some of that back and go for something more like a traditional epic, but it ended up being ridiculous in a different way. Nolan's "sincerity" is often dishonest and paper thin regardless of tone.
