I'm a union audit rep and my job is to visit construction sites and make sure all regulations and standards are followed. I wear perfectly clean gear and a shiny white hardhat while the dudes I audit are covered in shit wearing beat up gear. I also make six figures while most of them make $30 tops. Of course some of the tradies make much more than that but they're the dudes I chill with while we watch the lesser workers toil. Feels good man

I work from home and make 6 figures, would he approve because I'm working or disapprove because it's not dirty enough?

Unironically you could drive a long haul truck if you are single. Quit your lease, live out of the truck (with a fridge and cooker so you still eat fresh food), do that for a few years and you will have saved up enough cash you could buy a house, a nice used car, and drive a truck locally if you wanted to, or pursue something else. It isnt fun after the first few days but it gives a nice, realistic head start you really can't get nowadays

Yeah honestly that sums up my coworkers. I ignore them all, and never talk to any of them outside of work, they are really insufferable. I thought it was because they are all boomers, but when they hired more millenials recently they behaved the same way sadly

>Cash out 401k, take penalty hit
>pay off remaining mortgage
>get easier low paying job for healthcare and to rebuild retirement savings, but basically no stress about job
Anyone done it?
