Because Star Wars itself is a completely raped series and the only way to recover in the eyes of the public is to stop all of the shitty shows, the shitty movies, and go silent for a bit.
Nobody liked The Last Jedi, and they decided to then start oversaturating with a ton of shows nobody found good or memorable. Mandalorian had a lot of positive attention but quickly fell off. The worldbuilding is so uninteresting and all over of the place at this point which is ironic because it was doing better under old ownership where the movies felt separated to the OC donut steel garbage they were doing in the comics. This franchise sucks and I feel bad for anyone still following this shit.
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Andor the Star Wars show? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you, for there's no Jedi or Sith in it. It’s a Disney+ show. Andor was a Star Wars show, so political and so modern that it could empower female fans of Star Wars by saying the word "rape". It had such a knowledge of the franchise that it could even keep the show from being about intergalactic wars between aliens. The political side of movie making is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. Andor became so popular ... the only thing it was afraid of was losing viewership, which eventually, of course, it did. Unfortunately, it taught Kathleen Kennedy everything, then kathleen Kennedy failed Star Wars again for the second time.

We'll have a new triology based on rape and Andor. There will be some Sith on Sith rape then some Jedi on Sith rape and there will just be a lot of rape all around and there will be 3 movies of it.
