Lemme explain. For like a month, every video, interview and picture they were in together, it was like they both went through something traumatic together. There were loads of internet jokes and comments about this. You can google it wit those keywords. I remember loling seeing the youtube vids. It has to do with their stageplay and how they faced negative criticism and girls cannot handle criticism. Look it up on youtube. Their tour was just them holding each other non stop like they just came back from war. But this really opened my eyes to how girls take pics and videos and really do act like they are in a support group even when just hanging out. I always see /tv/ parroting this but I think it just shows how inexperienced in life you fags actually are and it also exposes your complete lack of empathy. You also complain about The Mist's ending the same way. Those people had given up all hope and thought the world had ended so they would rather end life on their own terms until Eccleston dangled one of life's greatest pleasures in front of his suicidal squad in an attempt to persuade them to keep going a little longer. A month is a long time in an apocalypse and nobody could've predicted the infected would eventually die from starvation given that starving humans don’t have the energy to run around like that. It’s not about not being able to masturbate; Naomi Harris' character literally spells it out for you too.

Not to mention it completes Jim's character arc where he goes from a cowardly fish-out-of-water to the badass alpha chad who's able to protect his women. It's cathartic as hell to watch.

I don't really care about how realistic it is or isn't for the soldiers to become that antisocial in 4 weeks, it feels totally different tonally from the rest of the movie. Also I think Jim turning into a super ninja and taking out all the soldiers is ridiculous. I get these guys aren't special elite forces or anything but they have at least basic training right? And Jim just kills all of them, essentially by himself? Can't remember that part, but it's a fact that when Jim wakes up the streets of London are empty save for the infected and the highways and roads are empty too. A lack of information or any outside help for a month would make anyone fear the worst because even if the infected all died what would even be left? IIRC they had been overrun before too that has to have taken its toll. The soldiers just weren't mentally prepared enough for such a scenario, maybe they hadn't even been in any actual war before either but I can't remember if it's ever brought up in the film.

Also, two of the soldiers didn't want to go along with the rape plans and were promptly executed for insubordination. It does not paint all men as evil predators. /tvpol/ is seeing something that isn't there as usual.

At this point, I'm 100% sure that Kelly Rian Sanson keeps getting roles because she's fucking the right people. There's just no other way it makes any sense. She's a 30-year-old woman who looks 40 and is playing an 18-year-old. Fuck off. All the kills suck ass and there's no real shot of contact being made or anything. It has one of the most horrendously fake axes I have ever seen in a movie. To top off this shit show, Hook's face makeup keeps changing in almost every scene, as does his voice. It's honestly impressive just how fucking shit this movie is.

I forgot to mention a few things. I'm on the fence about giving Tony Todd's character a backstory, as it was almost unanimously accepted by fans that he was death in human form. Having a 28-year-old, who clearly looks it, play a college student was a horrible idea, unless she's that dumb and just failed a lot or something. The writers clearly loved Final Destination 2 because they reference it 4 times at least and don't any of the others unless I missed it.

Just watched it the other night
Jim kills two, a soldier climbing a ladder who couldn't fight back and the guy who gets the eyeball scoops. And the fleeing soldier who literally just runs into his bayonette, I guess if you count that.
He "encounters" the other soldiers but outwits them or leaves them to die via the infected, the first time he tries to fight on equal footing he gets shot in the gut.
His only legitimate infected kill was against a child.
If anything he's pretty much an average guy, his only feat that puts him above average is the face he was able to scale a wall with barbed wire and didn't get his body cut to ribbons.
