Maybe some studio besides Disney or Warner could buy up an indie publisher or call dibs on some public domain capeshit and turn out a series of decent films in this declining genre. Something intelligent and fun that doesn't suck, swallow, or blow.

Matt Reeves hasn't even turned in a script yet. Supposedly, he's having a "Chadwick Boseman situation" and can't get the script done after 3 years. At this point, they'll probably move on from him and get another director or they'll just move forward with Batman Brave and the Bold instead (intended to be a Batman and Robin pairing)

DC really does suck. I feel bad for Gunn. He made some really good movies for Marvel, but now he has to work with these second rate characters and he has to do it with Warner Brothers bosses interfering constantly. There are a few Marvel movies I know I'm going to watch in the future but I'm not sure if I'll see anything DC after this new Superman movie that I'm going to watch to see if it's any good.

The only reason Guardians 1 was any good is cause someone else wrote it. 2 & 3 were shit comparatively.

WB/DC's greatest mistake was getting cold feet on Snyders vision. Had he continued it would have been a huge success once the Marvel fatigue set in.

Anon, "barely watchable" and "less vomit than the other vomit" is not the same as "good".

Joss Whedon made the perfect Marvel movie. Nolan/Ledger made the perfect Batman movie. The OG Superman (1&2) are perfect because Christopher Reeves nullifies all flaws.
X-Men 1 was decent enough, mostly because of Stewart/McKellen/Jackman.
Then Blade 1 and 2.

Take that list and you have a list of reasons we don't need anymore capeslop. Instead of watching the new garbage, just pick a movie off that list and watch it again for the 5000th time. I guarantee you will enjoy it more than whatever else the Soulless Factory is shitting out.

Once you achieve perfection, there's no reason to keep trying. No need to make any more comicshit.

and MARVEL ROCKS - see deadpool vs wolverine and all that. that we're getting a big battle movie. that we're getting xmen. we've got the original crew returning after 10 years of mostly wasted potential. marvel still has good characters but DC has nothing but tired old crap.
