Long story. Disney decided to do a live action Snow White as they have been doing live action versions for their other properties.

Peter Dinklage (midge actor from Game of Thrones) was asked about Disney doing a new Snow White and he said that personally he found it patronising that little people actors are still stuck with such roles.

Disney reacted by not having the dwarves in Snow White Originally it was going to be a band of multicultural bandits (like that webm). Behind the scenes were leaked.
