I read Chespirito got in troubles with this episode. Being anti-American was the same to communism during the Cold War, despite Chespirito was a rabid anticommunist and in any case, he porrtayed both America and the USSR as imperialist powers. That's why in Supersam's later appearances , he's Chapulin's reluctantc ally rather than an antagonist

I'm Mexican so I do like him but the consensus is that he sucks. I get why people think like that, he was kind of an asshole, had herpes, was unfaithful to his wife and did a lot of creepy shit, fumbled his shows and he blatantly reused storylines over and over and over, not to mention that he kind of only has One Fucking Joke which he repeats ad nauseam.

One has to have a fucking huge ego to name themselves "Chespirito", aka "little Shakespeare", but his stuff is funny in a comfort food kind of way.

It's definitely stuff of the past now and nothing good will ever come from his brand anymore, but it's good for what it is.

Legitimately peak comedy for children. All of the actors were good. It was predictable, yes, but again, its for children.
Hating on Chespirito has become something of a meme. Might not have been a great human being, but his creation is still amazing.
