lmao
you should see the way they act in a decrepit big city sometime
packs of wild dogs will use strategy and tactics to attack humans, they'll literally use samaritan scams on them, it's crazy. one little dog will sit whining on the street with its tail between its legs, when a person approaches it'll scamper down an alley and try to get them to follow, when they do all the other dogs come out and surround them and start barking and biting trying to get them to drop groceries or other things they can eat
betas will scrap with eachother regularly, but the alpha is just the alpha.
you see that little pushover he does?
at some point he learned shit like that and other things and it made him the alpha.
Just like that one wolf that learned to do the under the neck suicide grab on those giant mooses and could take one down by himself.
he just learned to do it one day and the other wolves just let him be in charge.

Contrary to what people has lead you to believe, in nature, strength has little correlation in dominance of heavily gregarian animals.
This is a social pack that is not under threat, so what does strenght has to do with being alpha? The most "social" one would be dominant
The UFC champion is not the leader of your race, is the guy with the most twitteridoos

I somewhat disagree. Strength is implied leadership, but in practice it doesn't work if you aren't a good leader. You CAN predicate power on strength, but it will make your subjects resentful. A leader people will choose to follow has to be strong, but it is more social, yeah. A leader you want to follow is the guy you know won't be talked over, if that makes sense. When the leader talks, everyone listens, and whoever everyone listens to is the leader.
>>211664249 >A leader you want to follow is the guy you know won't be talked over, if that makes sense
No, doesn't make sense
If that were the case the animal with the loudest screeching would be dominant and you AAAAA AAAAAHHH CAAwon't be AAAHHAHAH talked over AA AAAAHH
This doesn't happen.
Your view of strength and it's place in dominance is distorted. Your brain is fried by movies and videogames.
Strenght is only secondarly related to dominance, in which you need strenght to protect.
The alpha gorilla is strong so the pack feel safe that he'll protect them, not because it's the one that can beat the most gorillas in the pack.

The Chad dog in the webm is known for being the best at fighting, which is why he's at the top of the hierarchy, not because he's the most 'social'.
The warlord would undoubtedly be the leader of the race in a world governed by natural law.
>>211665200
You see it in any uncivilized part of the world. And also, a warlord might not be the biggest guy in the room. He might have guys twice his size cower in fear in front of him. Like the giant dog that got jumpscared by the leader dog. It's because the leader has shown that he is without fear - that he will fight no matter what, and so far he has always won. That's a leader.
The TLDR is that if too many alphas in your society die out suddenly, each generation after will have less and less alphas, as they change to choose and over time prefer betas. Eventually you end up with no alphas at all.

the question becomes whether that's a good thing or not. The monkey tribe was able to sustain itself without the alphas and it's implied that it's better overall since everyone gets along better.
>>211669289 >it's better overall since everyone gets along better. >the question becomes whether that's a good thing or not.
Yeah, thats the thing. Theres no way to tell if a situation will arise where they just get steamrolled by another troop of baboons because they have no aggressive alphas yo fight them off. But he said they've been going for 20 years this way so far.
