I honestly don't remember anything really notable about it other than the episode where one of the main characters dies because his actor had killed himself. It's just a typical 90s sitcom. But if you're a fan of Brooke you'll probably like it, it's a show all for her.

Just bad filler scheduled around Seinfeld. It was serviceable if that's your sort of thing, but it wasn't funny like a Newsradio or Just Shoot Me.
I don't like Judd Nelson all that much either. Or Kathy Griffin. They didn't sweeten the deal any.

It's amazing how hard NBC fucked this show of its soul by retooling it into a more light hearted show, even going as far as moving the show's setting into daytime.

True. It started out semi serious about him being a recovering alcoholic like he was IRL. And the sets were very comfy. The dude was an Emmy powerhouse. They should have let his show find itself organically like Seinfeld.

i binged this on Rewind TV a few years ago, shit was funny, but yeah i def liked the darkness of season one more than the wack other seasons. i liked Eggers the weird cop lady, to me she stole the show a lot with her weird one liners (i couldnt believe it when i realized she was the same actress who played the hot big boob girl from Amadeus)

Cortese was the Burger King guy and I remember specifically he was referred to in an ad for an upcoming late night talk show appearance as "The Dude of the Nineties, Dan Cortese".
I liked when he played 'hunk' Tony on Seinfeld.

yeah i think Bill Hader referenced him as Stefon on SNL one time lol Mulaney would write random shit like that to get Hader crack up since he was usually reading it for the first time, Mulaney would change dialogue between dress and air to fuck with Hader apparently (since when does Lorne allow hijinx liek that? he used to have strict "no fucking around or improvising on the air!" rules

It's pretty much reddit meets netflix meets globohomo feminism. Basically it's feminism the show made to hypnotise the viewer into thinking "white men bad" and "POC women good". There isn't really much more to this dreary show than that.
