I'd say moderately scripted. The opening segments were obviously scripted but outside that I think guests were just encouraged to hang shit on Adam or tell him his delivery was terrible. Some jump right aboard with it, some prod at him a bit but are clearly just following Norm's lead while others do not get it at all and the joke ends up being on them.
