>>211714992It's Earth-allegory but it's sort of set on an Earth that got worse and worse until they didn't even remember who they were anymore. >>211718845What shaming? I'm celebrating her! You're a humorless scold.
>>211718720I'm not trashing on TOS I'm trashing the episodes of it that are shit in specific. But those are the episodes you like because you're retarded. What if there was an episode of Star Trek where Kirk and Spock to to an ALIEN PLANET to watch """JFK""" get assassinated on an ""alien"" planet that somehow was exactly the same as Earth at the time the script was written? That's KINO right? Thank fucking God it got canceled.
>>211718957You are posting tit pics of Marina Sirtis which have no relation to her role as Counselor Troi. What could the purpose of this off-topic lewdness be beyond shaming? Star Trek: The Next Generation does not "celebrate" nudity. Please remain on topic.
>>211719248For the last time, I'm not even able to post tit pics here; this is a safe-for-work board.
>>211710135,

>>211712805 haven't been deleted, so they're OK for this board. What are you even on about?
>>211710841So, no one can explain how the Klingons haven't gone extinct? So much for Star Trek making any sense. It's a dumb and inconsistent TV show, and you know it.
>>211719480Obviously their devotion to honor is overblown and idealism and when it comes down to it most value their actual lives more. That's why the ones that are in power are so conniving and deceitful.
>>211719432The term "tit pics" is offensive. Please cease using it.
>>211687535>>211687563what happens inside the ships as they spin this way
>Leonard Nimoy wrote: "Frankly, during the entire shooting of that episode, I was embarrassed โa feeling that overcame me many times during the final season of Star Trek."[5]
bros....I'm scared
>>211719777Nimoy did seem pretty checked out during that season, and honestly during some of the back half of season 2. Which is pretty damning because he was usually Mr. Professional who always gave his best even to the shittiest paycheck roles.
>gets slimed by a bit of bug juice
>instantly turns into a leftist bug sympathizer
This is why we must kill all bugs. The only good bug is a dead bug. Every bug on Earth is a fifth collumn traitor, I say we KILL THEM ALL!
>>211686270Odo died before I even got into Star Trek.
>>211706726>Conscience of the KingI just watched this one. Some great performances by the guest stars but it left me wondering how old Kirk is supposed to be. Would he have been a teenager during the massacre?
Started watching Voyager again.
>They find Kazon-Ogla
>This retards can space travel but cannot manage to burn oxygine with 2 hidrojens.
If Verhoeven wanted people to hate le evil military fascists so much, he should've made a movie like this showing the negative consequences of following orders without question, not try to make some half-witted commentary on how easy it is to get humans to wear uniforms if it means killing bugs. Just goes to show that some people don't understand Killing Bugs == Good and everything else falls in line secondary to Killing Bugs.
>>211719777>Frankly, during the entire shooting of that episodewhich episode did he mean ?
>>211722587Not that one. That one was dope.
I feel a major issue with NuTrek is scale. The galaxy had DS9 dealing with that section of Alpha with the wormhole section of Gamma while Voyager was making its way back from Delta towards Beta.
Now every episode feels like Final Frontier, fast forwarding to the galactic core. It doesn't feel like naval tradition, big ships moving in big space.
What is your opinion on the Shangri-La Command Warship?

>>211715370lol wtf is wrong with you

>>211699484I know people like to crack wise about this stuff, or engage in the apologia that Trek was always cerebral, but the truth is that for the time, this is a fairly typical action sequence. Contemporary audiences might not have found this the height of thrilling action, but it served its purpose and wasn't considered dull.
>>211707724It's pretty clearly a DARE episode, just with a technological twist.
>Try this fun thing, dude! The first taste is free...Then it ruins your life and the Pushers take all your shit.
>>211710733The scientists and explorers also use science to develop incredibly powerful and adaptive weaponry. They don't fight for status or honor, or even expansion. They only fight when they have to, and when they do their primary goal is victory. Sure the Federation tries desperately to keep its hands clean, but they're always laser focused on actually. Winning. The. War. Rather than terrifying their enemies or adding to the Great Blood Count or whatever.
As a consequence, they wipe the floor with anyone who isn't on technological parity with them. This is what makes groups like the Dominion, the Hirogen, and the Borg terrifying: they've got the same or better tech, and no morals holding them back.
>>211725232I'd still let her hit.
>>211714391"Whom Gods Destroy" has the legendary Yvonne Craig (AKA Batgirl) as a deranged, horny Orion Slave Girl. She's honestly quite funny in the episode, and of course extremely easy on the eyes.
>>211725629Well that make sense. Thanks
>>211725544wholesome levels checked
>>211685297 (OP)I thought this was a good episode unironically
>>211687007>whatf if the planet was actually full of normal people that didn't even care about the alien space station and they just happened to beam down to the one freelove nudist colony with their own don't-step-on-the-lawn sharia founded by a religious cult centered on the alien space station
>>211685712I can respect that.
Finally finished s5 its been great, oh well time for the war

>>211732228THEY BETRAY THEIR UNIFORMS!
>>211732248That's a cool sentiment dude but every engagement in human history has shown that disciplined professionalism is more effective than screaming like crazy, even in the cases where the professionals lost like Vietnam.

>>211732724The Light Brigade didn't Bonzai charge, retard. They followed their orders to their deaths with stone cold British stiff upper lip professionalism. Japan is pathetic by the way and they don't breed.
>>211732618Anon I just joined the thread, I have no idea what you're talking about but I guess it has something to do with all of these deleted posts
>>211732845nonsense its a regimented professional ship, barclay was clearly much happier once he was working at a research base, he never should have been in starfleet in the first place

>>211732845It's all about the skills you bring to the table. Data was even more socially challenged than Barclay. Yet he was one of the most loved and respected crewmates on the whole ship. Because he was an invaluable asset to the team.
>>211733180idk man look at her belly button, something went wrong even if it was just a dieting thing

>>211733313The toxic fans alone are enough of a reason to pass by the entire Star Trek franchise.

Trip, Reed and Hayes need to land on a planet and rescue some alien chicks from their virginities.

>>211733695you really are determined to be disingenuous aren't you? you said you won't watch any trek due to toxic fans, I then asked why you are even in this thread then and that is your reply? either you have trouble with the english language or your just lying, so which is it?
>>211733695No the hell is my fist coming to your face if you don't shut the fuck up.
>>211733721I just said I didn't watch DS9. You blew that completely out of proportion and claim I don't watch any Trek. The third possibility, which you didn't mention, is that you're a moron.
