He asks to die, to be buried at sea more specifically, which makes no sense considering Wakanda is landlocked.
Regardless, there is no logical reason T'Challa would actually let him die. He saved Zemo, and he had exponentially more motivation to save N'Jadaka. So write that shit in. He took a dying Killmonger back and they kept him comatose, Bucky style baby, and during this period, under the influence of the heart herb, he lived an entire lifetime with his father on the ancestral plane, and realized that neither party was correct (his uncle or his father) and that Wakanda needed them to work together.
Upon reawakening, he finds that T'Challa has died as a result of ass cancer and vows to continue his legacy, but with his own Training Day spin on it.
There you go, Ryan Cougar. I wrote your screenplay for you. It makes sense, it's not a cop out like the first movie was which retconned and recycled T'Challa's entire character arc from Civil War, and it brings back a fan favorite actor and character. Now get Starvin' Marvin out the fucking suit, and get rid of all of the side Wakandan characters too, cause they all fucking suck and nobody likes them. Have Klaue come back as a bio-android antagonist, maybe Lester Niggard if you're strapped for the white man's box office, but other than that fuck right off with everything else, including diet Aquaman and DEIronwoman. Nobody gives a flying fuck about them.
