Guy slop
>guy cheats on his wife
>this is treated as a minor mistake and never followed up on
>dude outsmarts the mafia and wins in the end

it was one of the last movies where we ever pretended a guy could just beat the government fair and square. very outdated naïve West wing American exceptionality

Fantastic performances from an ensemble cast but the story doesn't hold up compared to the book. One of my top 5 Hackman roles.

In the book Hackman fucks Cruise’s wife raw. No idea why they removed it from the film.

last chance
>it's not a good movie though
idk it's like the first half builds way too much suspense and it leaves nothing to go off so it sort of just keeps going on and on.

I haven’t read the book but the movie was top tier kino. Maybe a bit too long but it’s worth watching.
