I saw it earlier today with my son. It was the most basic point A to point B paint by numbers plot you could imagine. The Movie could have easily been boiled down to less than an hour on Disney+, but where's the money in that? I mean.... it's sad and very well done...but 'saddest' in all of cinema? Like from the turn of the 20th century to now, there hasn't been a sadder moment? Really? A bit of an exaggeration to say the least.

Also I agree with that other poster that "Up" is a brilliant 10 minute short film followed by good-but-forgettable 70-80 minutes. Seriously, the beginning is literally the only thing people talk about with "Up" outside of *maybe* the "Squirrel!" joke.

Just finished the film. How the mighty have fallen. It was just extraordinarily weak. No inspiration behind it. The story is extremely predictable. Family movies should not appeal to children only.
