Superman the Movie - 7/10 Kino cuz of Williams, Reeve and the 1st half especially. Shits the bed after that.
Superman 2 - 5/10 Bastardization of Donner with a few good moments
Superman 2 Donner Cut - 4/10 Actually worse than Lester’s cut because so much was clearly unsalvageable. Lots of great scenes in concept, like how Lois Lane finds out Clark is Superman by using a gun blank (by far the best Lois scene in any Superman media ever other than flying scene from the first movie, but it’s a shitty screen test and not properly filmed)
Superman 3 - 3/10 Once you accept how bad it is, it’s actually hilarious
Superman IV - 1/10 Masterpiece that is actually so bad it’s good
Superman Returns - 4/10 Sub-par slop even by that overrated hack Bryan Singer’s standards. Maybe if he spent less time grooming kids, he’d be able to come up with a better Superman story than Deadbeat Dad Creepy Stalker Superman
Man of Steel - 5/10 Interesting conceptually, but neither Goyer nor Snyder are smart enough to actually do anything interesting with a first contact story that weighs the implications of someone like Superman actually existing. They also want to have their cake and eat it too by also making a basic blockbuster. People got way too high off of crap like Superman Earth One when they should have looked at stuff like Secret Identity or Unbreakable.
Batman v Superman Theatrical Cut - 2/10 Hahahaha
Batman v Superman: Ultimate Edition - 4/10 A much more cohesive version. But still Hahahahahaha
Josstice League - 1/10 Genuinely hilarious & so bad it’s good. Every decision is more baffling than the next. GG, Warner Bros. I know everyone wants to blame Whedon, but no one could have made this work. At least it’s funny.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League - 6/10 Still pretentious, but I actually felt emotion watching this. It may be because he went more full blockbuster mode and the feeling that any of this is REAL and GROUNDED finally left the building. Enjoyable.
