Avengers worked because the majority of heroes had an individual movie where they were introduced and went through a character arc. People who watched one or two of these movies were hyped about Avengers.
Justice league tried to introduce most of these characters in a movie.

Turns out making shitty movies staffed by many shitty actors dragging down the decent few doesn't have a long term success plan. I for one am mystified.
>>211771606 (OP) >avengers are the highest grossing marvel movies >lets just skip the solo movies mostly and do avengers
and ooops it turns out the solo movies were integral to the success of avengers

The crazy thing is Gunn is doing the samething almost a decade later. Introducing a bunch of random superheroes woth no set up and expecting people to care about them. Absolutely retarded.
If you simply didn't have girl power Gal save Batman and instead have Superman save him and finally have that team up moment the movie would have made a Billy. This is facts

What makes it even worse is ten years later WB still doesn't understand the idea of proper setup. Their project slate looks just as disjointed as the MCU for the last five years. How hard can it be to just follow the formula?

yeah but those are obviously just Z-list supporting characters. It's not like he's throwing in Batman and shit. I'd be shocked if they get more than 3 scenes. You're not supposed to care about them as anything more than a foil to Superman in presumably some sort of reverse Kingdom Come situation where he teaches these old cynical heroes how to be boyscouts.

Amerisharts put their month first and day second for no reason which causes confusing situations like this, where you think 25 is the year because the number 25 shouldn't be in the middle in the first place.

The cut scenes from the Ultimate edition wouldn't have saved it desu. You'd still have people lambasting the Martha shit, granny's peach tea actually just everything involving Eisenberg as Lex, Murdering Batman etc.

Be that as it may, this is still the first time a Green Lantern's been on the big screen since 2011. Coupled with Hawkgirl, at least one or two people are bound to be reminded of the JL cartoon on some level.

It also involved fresh characters people hadnβt seen before on screen. A big part of why Wonder Woman and Aquaman did so well is it was the first big screen movie for both.

I honestly think the snyder cut is worse than the whedon cut just because of how Darkseid was handled. Even if everything else were an improvement, his treatment in this movie was unacceptable.

WB meddling and forcing Sneeder to put in Wonder Woman and the Justice League setup. There also should have been no Doomsday. Lex should have revived Zod who devolves into Bizarro. Him and Batman team up to defeat, no Superman death.
