Lean into it completely. Ross has all the power in the situation. Monica is his sister, Chandler is his long time best friend, Joey is connected to Chandler. Rachael needs to be one good terms with Ross to remain in the group. She's not going to hang out with Phoebe as an alternative. She'd end up back on Long Island with the life she ran away from.
