The main problem with this movie is that it has too much plot. You just want to watch Ryan and Russell goof around and make jokes.
Maybe toss in some action and nudity and it would have been great
the actual mystery takes up too much time when its not necessary
also the over reliance of kids doing dirty jokes

It's Shane Black's best movie. And his only good one along with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. He's unfortunately a hack, but I guess a broken clock truly is right twice a day.
