ATH got killed for a bunch of reasons, though none of them actually official as Reali and company have been told it's over by ESPN and getting stonewalled when Reali wanted answers.
While the show's ratings were still high purely due to it's time slot (paired with Pardon the Interruption and right before the 6PM Sportscenter), it had been in heavy decline since the mid-10s.

But the biggest issue is that around the late 00s, ESPN went all in on morning TV type shows that made them money and expanded to get shit like Pat McAFee's show to air on live TV along with the internet. They basically were big time hits, doing better ratings than ATH and PTI and bringing in far better viral/social media presence in terms of getting people to watch.
Reali knew the show was canceled for a while but did nothing to try and save it; to the point of stacking the show in it's final months with MORE anti-Trump haters and even shilling tranny crap, damn the online response because Reali would rather preach to the choir than just report/discuss sports.
