People are insane for shitting on this movie.
Its seriously good.
Defintitely my favorite of the trilogy.

They've also established different castes of infected, like "alphas" and fat, slow moving worm eaters that don't seem quite as aggressive, which does feel kind of video gamey. Overall though it's a great film, I liked it better than 28 days.

Why not? Would you find it implausible if a band decided to release a new album 20 years later? Really depends on what the actual plot itself really was though. They were gonna do the entire movie in chinese and have it be subtitled. My guess would be that the soldiers were there to help the chinese goverment take advantage of the fact the UK as a goverment entity doesnt exist anymore, and it would basically be a horror show of watching the soldiers ripped apart throughout the movie. I will admit, the first half of the movie really did get my heart pounding. The Boots poem playing in the background while dad and spike walk the causeway and into the mainland was kino. The second half was a bit bumpy but Ralph carried it. The Second movie will be shit because of that one sheboon directing it but hopefully Danny comes back for the third film.

just a tad- but they really dumbed it down, which is unfortunate. Compare the very first movie in aesthetics, world building, characters, cinematography- it just doesn't compare. They had to add strange exposition delivered by characters and at times, there are forced scenes. Things like really bad CGI for today's standard of quality as well as strange jump-cuts. It also lacks in the gore/action sequences which was the whole premise of the very first movie. It should feel like a never ending run; where you cannot have a second to breathe. But in this one, it felt like a long slog.

I brought a normie to watch it with me last night, someone who has never seen the series. Never seen a dude so on the edge of his seat; and he's the type who doesn't have an inner voice. Type of guy who lives life at the immediate sensory experience. If he enjoyed it, I'm sure many normies would. As far as cinema enjoyers- there will be parts that can also appease to you. I was seeing all the negative comments about the movie on here and Reddit so I was expecting it to be mediocre. It might be my favourite movie in the series so far. It’s not perfect and parts of it are a little cheesy, but that keeps in line with the original 28 Days Later. They’ve got me invested in how they continue expanding the virus’ lore with the trilogy and what’s going to be the future of the island village. The kung-fu Jimmy Saville cult at the end wasn’t as cheesy as this place was making it out to be. I prefer the back-end of this movie much more than 28 Days’ back-end with the rape soldiers. The only nagging critique I’ve got with the story so far is how we’re supposed to interpret the mother’s sickness, considering she died before her sixth-sense was fully explained. Maybe I’m retarded.
