Actual original ideas instead of bland slop like the Antiques Road Show, Countryfile, or Big Brother enrage Brit-chuds who don't like things that aren't boring moving wall paper.
The show is safe too as it got more viewers than the FA cup final the same week, so the BBC would make more series even if they had to cut the budget back to how it was before the Disney deal, but both Amazon and Netflix are offering more money than the original Disney Deal anyway apparently and seeing if Disney can better their offers is why negotiations are still ongoing. As Disney probably wouldn't want to lose their top show for under 25s and one of their top 5 shows (not including UK viewers thats pretty good going), which they get for a fraction of the cost of their own programs, its likely the Disney deal will continue if their pockets are as deep as Amazon and Netflix.
