Its good, but Ameri-chuds are vehemently opposed to it because Disney part pays for it and this is an insult to their God-King or something.

Actual original ideas instead of bland slop like the Antiques Road Show, Countryfile, or Big Brother enrage Brit-chuds who don't like things that aren't boring moving wall paper.

The show is safe too as it got more viewers than the FA cup final the same week, so the BBC would make more series even if they had to cut the budget back to how it was before the Disney deal, but both Amazon and Netflix are offering more money than the original Disney Deal anyway apparently and seeing if Disney can better their offers is why negotiations are still ongoing. As Disney probably wouldn't want to lose their top show for under 25s and one of their top 5 shows (not including UK viewers thats pretty good going), which they get for a fraction of the cost of their own programs, its likely the Disney deal will continue if their pockets are as deep as Amazon and Netflix.

Even the weakest Capaldi scripts seem like high art compared to the dogshit the show is now. The show is now motivated 99% by just trying to ragebait the audience or turn up the parody to the max because it's deathly afraid of sincerity. The show is currently on the brink of cancellation.

You can probably just start with the reboot like the other anon said. I just went in with the mindset that it's just a bong trash scifi show and enjoyed it a lot. But I think I dropped it somewhere between season 9 and 10, the REALLY lame and gay shit only really became a thing afterwards.

I dunno, much as I love Capaldi In the Forest of the Night is a really, really shit episode. At least half the Jodie episodes could substitute for sleeping pills, which makes them exponentially more useful to me
