On a similar note, Danger 5 is a send-up of old spy TV shows but set in WWII and it's pretty funny. It goes a bit off the rails in season 2 and parodies a few other genres (including American high school, funnily enough) but it's consistently good for the most part.

The audio commentary for the theatrical cut DVD is pretty funny, one of the guys doing the commentary (a cameraman) goes on a long ass rant about them cutting all his cameos from the movie and then goes on a second rant during the credits but they calm him down by saying all his cameos are still on the deleted scenes extras
all the deleted scenes were later included in the "UNRATED cut" release which is 15 minutes longer, I recommend watching that one, it has more nudity and race jokes

Watch Hellzapoppin' (1941), it's hilarious. Also watch the first/pilot episode of Police Squad! last, it's by far the weakest episode, and there's no continuity between episodes anyway.
