do you wish there was a twin peaks season 4 or are you glad it ended where it did?

It ended with FWWM, full stop.

The Return really was the best ending to the series we were gonna get, given the circumstances. Even when Lynch was alive I didn't think S4 was needed

The best thing about The Return is that it put the genie back in the bottle regarding Laura. It recontextualizes the whole show by the end.

There's a lot of meandering, self indulgent stuff that you have to go through to get there, but it was worth it.

The sex scene with Naomi Watts is one of the funniest things I've ever watched.

It was a good ending because Twin Peaks was never going to have a satisfying ending anyway. Lynch is unironically a master of believable bullshit, he comes up with things he feels rings "true" that seem mysterious and cool but he doesn't have any actual concrete answers

Who says that? Did Lynch take the rights for Twin Peaks into his grave?

I guarantee you there will be a Twin Peaks spinoff in the same universe with a new cast. There is too much money to be made than just letting it die.

I would have loved more Twin Peaks but Lynch was never really gonna give any kind of real closure. That was never part of the plan even in the original show.

A "franchise" is antithetical to everything that was good about the show in the first place

I wish there was more Lynch full stop. I had a recurring daydream about being a billionaire, and how many projects I'd get Lynch to do. I'd be ok if he spent my entire fortune, so long as I get more Lynch kino.

I'm glad it ended where it did, season 3 was fantastic and a great capstone to both the series and to Lynch's career as a whole. And I'm dreading the inevitable of some studio digging TP up from its grave for a terrible season 4 in a few years. They're already planting the seeds in the media.

The only thing that still confuses me is the whole tremond/chalfont connection at the end with the new reality. i always assumed dale and laura went to either the real world or an alternate dimension at the cost of saving twin peaks, but how is ms. tremond and her grandson still relevant in this new world?

TP has a hardcore cult following but it's not nearly that popular. Return was actually a huge ratings disappointment for Showtime which is why they didn't even ask for another series
