What are Moulder's dry sardonic black humor quips called? He had several in every episode.

called? does everything that happens need to be labelled? Let me tell you something OP. A wise person once said, when you teach a kid the name of a bird, they never see that bird again.
You know why? because after that they only see the label.
As soon as you name this thing you want to name, instead of listening to what Mulder says or laughing at his joke, instead any time he is responds with sardonic black humor you're just going to get a box ticked in your mind. Ding, there's this ep's "__". What did he actually say? can't remember, didn't listen

They're called Mulderoos by Xedofiles (hardcore x files fans) and every Mulderoo has a hidden reference to Chris Carter's life and fetishes

Duchovny does not get the credit he deserves for Mulder. Everyone credits Anderson and what great independent woman she was blah, blah. I can think several actresses that could play Scully. I can’t think of anyone that can play Mulder
Looks like a chad but convincing as a total dork
Has a smart ass sense of humor not obnoxious
Deadpan style but isn’t bland
Can be cool at times but also a total dork at others

You're 100% right! Honestly, I think he channeled a lot of Kyle MacLachlan's approach to an FBI agent, a la Dale Cooper from Twin Peaks, which Duchovny also starred in, as a cross dressing FBI agent.

Literally the only other actor I can picture playing Mulder is Kyle MacLachlan. How about a parallel universe where Duchovny plays Dale Cooper, and MacLachlan plays Mulder? Best of both worlds.
