I live in Texas and if I'm heading to Houston or Dallas I pass like three or four maybe more of them. I do like stopping the food is alright and the bathrooms are really clean. they didn't just suddenly pop up. they're a result of decades of regional competition, buy-outs, and conglomeration. for example, we don't even have Buc-ees here as it's actually a relatively small regional chain with only 50 locations mostly in texas and spread a bit through the south, but Casey's (one of the largest chains in the US with over 2,700 locations nation-wide) came in and bought up a huge chunk of the local market and is now the dominant force.
