So my collection is really piling up now, got Storm Warning, Sword of Orion, The Stones of Venice and Minuet in Hell on physical CD and while I can ignore Minuet in Hell I am so totally in love with the eighth doctor's first three outings especially his opening scene where he's introduced talking to himself in the tardis and the R101. I also got Scherzo, The Creed of the Kromon, The Natural History of Fear, The Twilight Kingdom and The Next life on CD too recently but those were mostly disapppointing except for Scherzo and The Creed of the Kromon was fucking shit even though I like the character of Crizz. I'll have to relisten to those other ones since I was probably too tired when I first listened to them.

Please. I stopped watching when the episodes became about the importance of bus seats. Jodie really was cursed with shit tier scipts and a very bland sense of aesthetics. Personally i blamed Chibs and decided to just skip until he was gone. Then along came RTD and Tennant again and i said "ok, give it a cha-a-agghhh". One episode in and i was ready to quit and pretend i never saw it. So that´s what i do, i pretend the Doctor made it to Gallifrey in a somewhat bland and terrible series finale, says his goodbyes to Clara and that´s it.

I did watch the video of this last regeneration though, i thought you guys were playing with AI or something because it looks absolutely terrible. Imagine my surprise when i learned it was actually real.

There's not much to elaborate on. Once an actor is established as the Doctor he's assigned a number and that never changes. When Peter Davison showed up in that special with Tennant, he was the 5th Doctor. No one said, "Well, this appearance happened after the 10th Doctor, so he's the 11th Doctor!" That would be obviously stupid and wrong. When Tennant came back in Day of the Doctor, no one said, "Tennant is playing the 12th Doctor because he appeared here after the 11th," he was just the 10th Doctor re-appearing in the show.

Speaking of DotD, not every Doctor even gets a number, as seen with the War Doctor, so the numbers could be seen more as names or designations than strictly appearance numbers (as we already know they aren't, since re-appearances don't get re-numbered). So that brings us to Tennant reprising his role as the 10th Doctor once again for the RTD2 specials.

Tennant has been established as the 10th Doctor and that has been reaffirmed on his subsequent appearances in the show, so why would this time be any different? The 13th Doctor regenerated backward into a past incarnation, the 10th Doctor, as indicated by the fact that he's played by David Tennant who is, in Doctor Who canon, ALWAYS the 10th Doctor when he appears as the Doctor. Regardless of how or when Tennant shows up as the Doctor, he will always be the 10th Doctor.

The problem with the TARDIS Wiki is their neutral point of view rule which treats all media and writing equal. Fact of the matter is, it isn't equal. It makes sense for most franchises, but not Doctor Who, even with lore inconsistencies aside.
They can commit to the idea there is no canon as much as they want, but it doesn't make it any less true. Most fans would agree with this.
Ideally the wiki should have something similar to their valid/invalid source system, but tiered. There really isn't any better way to document a franchise that was never designed for such an in-universe wiki and loose copyright. Needless to say, when the wiki gets to the point when they're having to canonise Family Guy and Star Wars fanfiction, and also stories where the writers have deliberately written them knowing they'll get on the wiki, then they really need to look long and hard at their rules of what they cover.
I've seen that Peter Griffin Gevity comic get mocked not just here but on many other fandom spaces. How these wiki editors don't see that article as an embarrassment is beyond me. Surely not all wiki editors are happy about this?

With Moffat, it wasn't just that the Doctor was the last of his kind, but that he was the shining light of universe that would fight the monsters and make them run away in fear because he's the Doctor.
With Chibnall, the Doctor was less of this in the moment to moment but became too important to Gallifrey's founding as the sole cause of Time Lord society.
