I don't think it'll survive as "the future" as in it makes all artists and whatever obsolete and henceforth it is only ever done that way, just that traditional art and animation will be a niche talent that isn't employed for your average product or service. That's basically what it already is, artists and animators are far and few between but they're also not being paid enthusiast grade premiums for their work since there's enough of them. If I was an artist of any talent I'd probably be happy that droves of would be competitors are gonna be out of the scene and people who want stuff done by a real human will be willing to pay the premium for "authenticity".

Absolutely not. Too much uncanny, though I am ok with it personally (but I like the horror of uncanny and am an AI nerd).
Instead, real live performances will become important again. Even I've been tempted to watch more stage performances.
It's like with music, live scenes are what make the industry now. With games I think augmented reality might become more important, but not in it's current form. VR is not the way. We need to think outside the box.
Stage performances also need change, more augmented set change. Sets are currently exactly like they have been for 500 years. Surely it needs tweaking by now to make it impact like movies did. But I have always preferred stage drama - in particular movies that try to capture that sort of acting instead of the "realism" of modern film.


That is... until replicants become a problem. Then the issue becomes bigger than mere AI.

I use AI all the time and I know it's not right and is uncanny. In fact, that's kinda part of the fun. I tend to enjoy real and AI content separately because both have their quirks. Especially with porn. AI porn caters to things real people cannot do. Real people made porn caters to the more "human" aspects of sex. The way people fuck each other, not how we wish they fucked each other.
Seeing the two forms blur the line is also fun. AI trying to be real and real people trying to push their own boundary.
