Instead, real live performances will become important again. Even I've been tempted to watch more stage performances.
It's like with music, live scenes are what make the industry now. With games I think augmented reality might become more important, but not in it's current form. VR is not the way. We need to think outside the box.
Stage performances also need change, more augmented set change. Sets are currently exactly like they have been for 500 years. Surely it needs tweaking by now to make it impact like movies did. But I have always preferred stage drama - in particular movies that try to capture that sort of acting instead of the "realism" of modern film.
That is... until replicants become a problem. Then the issue becomes bigger than mere AI.
