I watched inconvenient anime back then but I wasn't really aware or gave a shit about Sam, same with the Ted X talk. Was probably around 2015 that I started watching them for real, and subsequently started hating Sam for being a faggot after WP got cancelled

I watched it way later. Didn't know about their youtube stuff at the time. My friends and I were big Tim and Eric fans and would watch anything that came from Adult Swim.

The only thing we watched after MDE that was Sam Related was his Paradigm Shift tedx talk. I wasn't very much online back then. I was playing sports and dj-ing and youtube was just for funny clips and what not.

The man on the street MDE stuff was very funny, Sam was in his element in those.

I just can't believe it's gotten to a point where Sam Hyde & crew thinks looking into the camera & 4th wall breaks is the funniest thing they come up with. Also the switch from Andy Ruse to Schultz is such a huge drop in cinematography. I get they're not working in professional studios and it's more grassroots but the drop off is huge

Honestly I didn't like the first episode. Something was missing. The moments where I laughed were times when I thought of what Sam was thinking while making this, kind of a meta laugh idk how to describe it. The improv was not so good, a lot of re-hashed themes. It just didn't feel exciting. I wish they would have done something completely new. I hope the other episodes are better.

For me it just didn't have any of the things about old MDE videos or WP that I liked, no music, editing not that interesting, interstitials not as good as they once were and they just seem idk tired and cruel?

Yeah now that I think of it. Honestly even the Happy World Daddy era was better. Which is very telling of how Schultz era MDE sucks. I actually can't fucking stand Schultz he seems like some opportunistic who tries so hard to become the 4th member but he's really talentless. even the intermission graphics became pathetic, the WP ones had pretty snarky funny paragraphs and quips about clown world but now it's just Jordan Peterson esque get your life in order bullshit
