I had a Freddy Krueger action figure from NECA when I was 10 years old. Somehow I lost it years ago but they donโt sell it anymore. It was really cool, it had Freddyโs long arms and tongue phone from the first movie

>>211991249The first season is on Plex and maybe Tubi. Tobe Hooper directed the first episode, which is Freddy's origin story. There's also a free live streaming channel called Horror Stories that plays it a lot. Freddy's only the main antagonist in 9 episodes. He's just the narrator for the rest, though I guess it's implied he's causing some of the "bad" things to happen. There are a few good episodes I really like and some awful ones as well. Second season starts to go off the rails about midway.

Anyway, Freddy later became my favourite movie character from ages 11-12. I dressed up as Freddy for Halloween, twice. I had the replica glove and mask, dolls, all that shit.
Years later I met Robert Engund in person. First thing I said to him was Freddyโs Dead was awesome!. He laughed and said โyeah it was awesomeโ. We chatted and he told me some funny Wes Craven stories. Cool as fuck.

>>211998991I thought the TV show was between part 3 and 4
>>212000928It was more common pre-internet. There were always fan clubs you could send your info to and they would send you promo stuff for the movie, band, etc. I filled out the thing and mailed it to the Ozzy Osbourne one when I was a kid and they sent me an 'autographed' picture of Ozzy.
>>212000997Think what you could scalp this for on ebay if you had bought it in 1984 and never opened it! But that's really cool.
>>212005831>American MarySoska twins. They appear in the movie, but they also wrote and directed it. Their remake of Rabid was okay, but avoid Festival of the Dead. They should really apologize for that one.
>>212030607Need to join the Five Nights at Freddy's fan club so I can get an exclusive statue to sell to zoomers in 40 years.
>>212030757Rabid was good. Substance copied it
Just watched Marshmallow, it was meeeeehhhhhhhhh
>>211988437 (OP)I used to watch it on Chiller
>>212001537>people just wanted a reboot of aNo
>>212031331>SubstanceI haven't seen that. I should go back and watch the original Rabid because it's been a long time. I don't know if I remember it well enough to really compare it to the remake
>Watch rabid>Think maybe I should look up some of Marilyn Chamber's adult films>Get big hairy reminder that it's 70s porn>>212032780I thought it was pretty good
>>212033902The first one didn't make me want to rush to watch a sequel

>>212033902>Hello, yes, I would like one ticket for m-three-gan two>Y-yes, only one ticket...Was it any good?
>>212033982Do it anyway.
>>212033984I saw it with my family, and the ticket people were replaced by computer screens anyway so it wouldn't have mattered. RIP those minimum wage jobs.
>>212033984>>212034158Oh yeah and I liked it, but I like schizo action-horror-scifi-comedy shit like Malignant and The Guest to begin with and I was also a fan of the first M3GAN so it really alligned with my tastes.
>>212034230> so it really alligned with my tastes.Oops. Meant โso it really aligned with my lack of tastes.โ
>>212034376Kill yourself saar.
>>212034158>ticket people were replaced by computer screensI went to a midnight screening of Opera and there was a kiosk when you walk in to buy tickets and a girl standing behind the counter. We had already bought tickets and tried to show her and she was like, no you give them to that other guy over there. So it was kind of unclear what her job was.
>>212034230I haven't seen the first one yet. I think I am going to try to watch it.
>>212034544Sounds like she's the ticket seller and he was the ticket taker. That used be usual, especially in cinemas which had their box office out front where they have no way of seeing the entrance to any of the screens
I remember liking REC when it came out. Watched it again and watched the sequels too and I think like I overrated it.
The movies have people screaming at each other constantly, it's insufferable
>>212034544>and there was a kiosk when you walk in to buy tickets and a girl standing behind the counter.I don't think this theater had a ticket counter anymore, unless I missed it.
>I haven't seen the first one yet. I think I am going to try to watch it.I loved it, it's likena hybrid of a comedic Child's Play-esque killer toy movie and one of those domestic-thriller horror movies like Orphan or The Stepfather. The sequel goes in a much more chaotic direction.
>>212034619There was still a ticket taker posted in front of the hall where all the screens were. They haven't automated that job yet I guess.
Cellar Dweller is currently playing on one of the horror streaming apps. It's a pretty good Empire movie. It also stars Brian Robbins, who is the current CEO of Paramount Pictures. He was also in Head of the Class with Dan Schneider. I don't know if I stumbled into a weird coincidence.

>>212034230Think I'm gonna wait for VOD but it sounds like it meets expectations.
>>212035569>but it sounds like it meets expectations. It's less overly comedic/"campy" than the marketing implied (tone is more in-line with the first movie, a tad sillier) but yeah I thought it successfully pulled off the "M3GAN vs grown up assassin M3GAN" concept that they went with.
>>212034820Also written by Don Mancini. Thatโs random as hell the Paramount CEO used to star in movies though.
>>212035553Anon's right. Grow up.
>>212035526Many such cases!
>>212035797>M3GAN vs grown up assassin M3GANAlso I successfully predicted in /hor/ that this chick was playing another M3GAN as soon as the casting was announced.
Amazing casting decision, she looks like M3GAN without even needing to use a mask + CGI like the actual M3GAN actress does lol.
>>212035920More like MEGAN 2.hours.long.
>>2120362692 hours well spent.
>>212036269I don't know why every movie needs to be some long epic film now
>>212035797I wonder if the marketing is gonna bite them in the ass. Will be interesting to see. Not tracking strong but these meme marketing films are a bit unpredictable.
>>211988437 (OP)this shit was based on a true story

>>212036764I love this kind of shit. Same as spontaneous combustion. The idea of just completely unexplainable phenomena.
>>212032937>Get big hairy reminder that it's 70s pornI love it
>>212036656>I wonder if the marketing is gonna bite them in the assI honestly think it will. I've seen complaints by people that they made it too "memey" or that they "leaned into the gay stuff" when that was really the marketing trying to appeal to teens and the actual film's humor is in line with the director's other films.
I wish they toned the marketing down and portrayed the film more accurately.
>It Ends (2025)
>Friends on a late-night food run become trapped on an infinite highway with otherworldly terrors lurking beyond. Confined in their Jeep Cherokee, they must decide whether to accept their fate or attempt escape.
Only shown at film festivals so far, but a lot of positive reviews so far. Sounds like a gemmy.
>>212037187>multiracial modern globohomo friend group
>>212037187There was a film like this recently I think. Drive Back. But even though it's been done before (Dead End, Mouth of Madness) I still can't get enough.
Has /hor/ already moved past Until Dawn?
>>212035835>written by Don ManciniI didn't know this and I've seen the movie a couple times before. Apparently it came out the same year as the original Child's Play.
Also
>tfw she will never suffocate you with her bush>>212036764I had seen this talked about on a TV show before. South Asian's were dying in their sleep due to some genetic heart disorder a specific population of them are prone to.
>>212037615Until Dawn starring Ella Rubin? She's the star of the year!
>>212037615It was surpassed in my current year rankings by M3GAN 2.0
>the ugly stepsister>m3gan 2.0>until dawnI still need to watch Final Destination Bloodlines, that might rank up there.
Highly recommend those three movies.
