Having people suspect him was actually my least favorite part of the show.
It just stresses me out seeing a protagonist being at risk of getting caught doing something wrong.
I liked the show better when it just focused on him being in control and getting away with stuff without much difficulty.

Nah. Doakes hated Dexter. It wasnt about Dexter being a killer Doakes was a killer. It was that Dexter got to lie and while Doakes had to own it.

That's what I thought too. It wasn't so much of a "Dexter is a serial killer" thing with him but more of a "Dexter is working with some dangerous people and Liddy is dead because he couldn't leave it alone so I'm just gonna leave it alone now"
