They forget the "OC donut steel" aspect and "social" element; Pocchie is the perfect example of a Mary Sue ("whenever poochie's not on screen everyone should ask - where's poochie). A Mary Sue is a feminine power fantasy where everybody loves the character in universe (and often the author imparts some sort of immutable moral standing to the point of ridiculousness). The only good examples I can think of (in a setting full of stupid powerlevels) is WH40k - Sanguinuis is a Mary Sue (and the blood angels in gene, despite"losing" a lot) but Kharn isn't, and not even the ultramarines are actually Mary Sues (they were just written as a childish "nuh uh my guys always win for a while)
