i smirked, the doctor sketch was a funny commentary, the steve horny/family feud sketch was funny mostly because of his funny voice. i didn't like the electricians bit at all, the porsche bit sucked, and I was surprised that the artist they got for the animation sequences wasn't better, but it wasn't bad. oh the fireman bit was the funniest part, and this is coming from someone who doesn't like alex schultz too much. he was hilarious and i respect him a lot more now.

I quite liked the last bit where they played electritians, was cosy seeing them all together and the characters worked.

What's weird is they cut the whole thing down, the original pitch for the sketch was that Nick is driving around being a nice guy, getting cut off but not minding, letting people in front of him in line, being a great citizen. Then he sees the fireman and absolutely loses it. In this sketch the joke doesn't really land cause he just is an angry asshole and the fireman is an asshole and he calls the fireman a fag pussy and that's it. There's no punchline, and I hate the overdoing of the meta shit like talking about the actors and actresses. It happens in every other skit. The Charles sketch was great cause charls and the actress and Erick fully sell it. They don't try to go for cheap meta comedy. It was funny in Moms and Dads but it should come naturally or be the focus, not mentioned in every sketch saying HEY THIS IS FAKE JOKE COMEDY LOL

Yeah that's what I've been thinking for all of the sketches so far. It's like they didn't really have anything besides a concept written, they just get in and improv it feels like. Which is really weird. They had a whole street and car set up for the fireman scene and it feels like Nick just improv'd all his lines entirely. Which sometimes can be funny, but it's like things go nowhere because there's not actual direction. It's just set up, improv and say funny words, end. No direction, no zig zag, no punchline really. It's really odd.

Charls streamer breakup sketch was super funny and actually made me laugh out loud though, which is very rare. Chuck just has it in a way Sam and Nick seem to have lost, and Nick was always my favorite. So far I'd say he's been the least funny.

I feel like a big problem this season has been their inability to identify anything relatable or real. Like the porsche sketch or the fireman sketch, who sees fireman out with boots? I live in an american suburb, normal place, never seen anything like that in my life. Same with the porsche thing which I didn't even get the point of. I guess they're both losers for being office workers? But Sam wasn't dressed like one at all, and his hair looks insane, so was he supposed to be the boss or a random guy? I don't know, I guess the whole thing was a car joke? In the first ep the football thing wasn't even concussion jokes cause it was just bullying actors so there was not even really a premise going on.
